Chapter 5 has not been published previously. Chapters 3 and 11 include original research which had not been included in pre- 2008 published versions of these essays.
Chapter 3 includes material incorporated during further researches on Welsh Calvinistic Methodism which augments the version which appeared in the Journal of Presbyterian History (2004) and complements work published subsequently on Lewis Edwards (output 2) and on Thomas Charles Edwards, Transactions of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion NS 12 (2012).
Chapter 11 includes new research which was incorporated into the second edition (2010), of Morgan’s Span of the Cross (1999).
