Wavelet Denoising Based on the MAP Estimation Using the BKF Prior With Application to Images and EEG Signals
<26>Accurate acquisition and recording of medical signals for highly accurate diagnostics remain a challenging problem since the captured data is inherently degraded by sensor noise thus requiring efficient cleaning. This paper proposes a novel Bayesian denoising algorithm for biomedical images/signals in the presence of degradation noise. The work was funded by Qatar National Research Fund under National Priorities Research Program (grant NPRP 09-465-2-174). This led to further International collaboration with Qatar Science Foundation, Qatar University and University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research, Australia.
