Additional information

<20> An unresolved problem of HCI is how to implement successfully clarification strategies in the event of miscommunication. This paper extends the WOZ paradigm introducing the principle of exploring Human miscommunication in a more natural and dynamic context (rather than static ones traditionally used so far). This approach contributes to a better understanding of dialogue management strategies, which has led to follow-up studies e.g. Stoyanchev, Svetlana, Alex Liu, and Julia Hirschberg (2012)"Clarification Questions with Feedback." where the authors investigate how people construct clarification questions based on our results.
