This paper derived a novel unified formula for computationally efficient evaluation of the performance of wireless communication systems in an interference environment. It is published in one of the top-ranked journals in the field. Several groups are already exploiting this formula, e.g. in heterogeneous cellular networks (DOI:10.1109/TMC.2013.36 and DOI: 10.1109/TCOMM.2013.050813.120883), spectral and power efficiency trade-offs (DOI: 10.1002/ett.1535), channel based scheduling (doi: 10.1109/TWC.2012.120412.112244), and cognitive radio networks (DOI: 10.1109/ACSSC.2012.6489013 ).
