Additional information

The study was undertaken as a part of collaborative research project (between the CFES at KU, the Baltic State Technical University, and the Russian Centre for Applied Chemistry). Laser-induced detonation in a gas-particle mixture is simulated, and the contribution of parameters of the laser pulse and composition of the mixture to the minimum pulse energy was studied. The tools developed were used to predict minimum pulse energy in a range of engineering applications, such as fire and explosion safety, and the induction of working processes in energy systems.
