Significance of output:

Funded by the ERC, this article investigates how current advances in spacecraft miniaturisation can be applied to the future development of novel space missions. Based on this research the author was invited as member of a discussion panel on the future of ChipSat mission capabilities at the ChipSat Workshop at Brown University in February 2012 (Dr. Rick Fleeter: rick_fleeter@brown.edu). The orbit propagation model developed is now being used in an ESA contract End-of-Life Disposal Concepts for Lagrange-Points and HEO Missions (200 K€ euro, technical officer Markus Landgraf, Markus.Landgraf@esa.int).
