Analysis of a distributed grid-connected fuel cell during fault conditions
This research concerns understanding the impact of normal power system disturbances on connected advanced low-carbon technologies. The research resulted from an international collaboration with the Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) [Andrew Lutz, aelutz@sandia.gov] and contributed to the US Government’s Hydrogen Fuel Cells programme [http://www.hydrogen.energy.gov/analysis_repository/project.cfm/PID=125]. The PhD student involved in the research was awarded a prestigious 12 month EPSRC US/UK Hydrogen Scholarship (a result of collaboration between the US Department of Energy (DoE) and the UK Department for Trade and Industry (DTI)), enabling her to carry out research at the SNL.
