Additional information

This research report is the 2nd on a novel topic, funded by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) (£101,000). It follows on from earlier work funded by CITB. The use of images to communicate H&S information has previously been limited to static items, such as posters. This study investigated their use in a more dynamic way, during real-time communication. This work has therefore established a new area to explore, specifically, impact on knowledge and behaviour. IOSH are now developing pictorial Tool-Box-Talks. The findings have also influenced the ‘Trojan Horse’ work by HSE and Loughborough University.
