Performance analysis of a mirror symmetrical dielectric totally internally reflecting concentrator for building integrated photovoltaic systems
This paper builds on the paper "Optimisation of concentrator in the solar photonic optoelectronic transformer: comparison of geometrical performance and cost of implementation". It presents experimental results from a novel optical concentrator for use in Building Integrated Photovoltaic Systems for which a patent has been filed. This technology allows a larger electrical output from PV modules, contributes to the illumination of buildings, and allows a reduction of system cost and CO2 emissions. This paper is contributing to attract interest from industry for the commercial exploitation of the patent, and to attract funding to create a large scale prototype.
