<19>The watermarking technique developed in this paper withstands geometric and processing attacks to which commercial value of images would be lost; the technique provides an improvement over existing methods in terms of security and algorithm efficiency. The outcomes of this research will be commercialised through a shared IP agreement. This work also led directly to a successful internationally-funded (Seed 2) MSc titled “Development of an Enhanced Steganography Method for Digital Images to Protect Biometric Data in Biometric Security Systems”, in collaboration with Letterkenny Institute of Technology, RoI.
