<23>This research was developed through Cheddad’s PhD at Ulster. This research led to a UK Patent Application for “Method for Skin Tone Detection” invention 0819407.8A. In addition, an International PCT application PCT/2010/046082 was filed claiming priority from the UK Patent. This research has also resulted in a Spinout company HidInImage Limited that has received over £300K in seed and funding from Proof-of-Principle, InvestNI Proof-of-Concept, and NISPO E-Synergy Ulster Innovation programmes. Product development, industrial trials and investment rounds are on-going.
