Jonathan Keenan’s research is primarily focussed in the Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU), part of the Postgraduate Medical Institute at Anglia Ruskin University. He works in collaboration with professors Bourne and Rajan on glaucoma detection, and pre- and post-operative cataract research. In particular, his work in VERU, where he is appointed as a visiting research fellow, has focused on exploring whether shared care can lead to improved patient outcomes. His recent research outputs, which carry a VERU affiliation, have included a presentation at the UK Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (2012) and furthermore, two joint journal articles are in preparation (with Bourne and Rajan, respectively) that we anticipate publishing in 2014. As a visiting research fellow, Jonathan is an active and significant contributor both to our research and the unit’s research environment, and in return VERU provides him with academic, administrative and financial support, for example to attend conferences.
