This paper describes a novel formalism that extends description logics with the ability to describe arbitrary graph structures; it investigates restrictions needed in order to ensure decidability, analyses computational complexity, proves soundness and completeness of decision procedures, and presents an evaluation based on a prototypical implementation. Applications of this work can be found, e.g., in the modelling of anatomical structures and chemical molecules.
