I was involved in all aspects of the design of the GEO600 instrument, and in particular in the development of the techniques to produce ultra-stable laser light implemented in all of the LIGO, GEO and Virgo instruments, and without which the reported upper limits on GW bursts in this paper could not have been achieved.
