Additional information
<11> Modern ontology languages and tools, in particular around OWL, promise more flexible and powerful access to data compared to classical database systems. This paper is significant because it contrasts two central notions in both systems, namely DB (integrity) constraints and OWL axioms, and how the former can be tested over OWL ontologies. Numerous papers build on this, and SPARQL design has been informed by our findings.
