Biologically inspired framework for spatial and spectral velocity estimations.
<23>This approach to motion modelling, in contrast to existing methods that process colour channels separately, incorporates spectral measures to form a local description of the stimulus chromatic spatio-temporal structure recovering both spatial and spectral velocities. This paper is the basis for a JSPS Bilateral Joint Projects /Royal Society Exchange Scheme application with Kyoto University Japan to develop applications; e.g. it is being investigated for camera colour calibration. The paper was selected by the JOSA A Editors as being of special interest and additionally published in Virtual Journal for Biomedical Optics (VJBO) http://www.opticsinfobase.org/vjbo/abstract.cfm?uri=josaa-28-4-713.
