Additional information

<20> Highly innovative work on shape-changing user interfaces. Presents Morphees which are self-actuated flexible mobile devices that adapt their shape to modify the affordances they offer, describes prototypes created for exploration of strategies for construction of such devices, and makes a key conceptual contribution by developing shape resolution as a novel metric for analysis and comparison of shape-changing devices. Published in CHI, the premier venue for HCI research, as one of 392 papers selected from 1963 submissions (20% acceptance rate), and widely featured in public media (e.g. Wired, Discovery news).
