Additional information

<09> This paper contributed to the then-emerging interest in requirements for self-adaptive systems. As noted by one of its key citations, our paper was one of the first to recognize that self-adaptation needed to be considered “from the beginning” – i.e. at the requirements level. It has proven highly influential as evidenced by its high citation count. It was voted one of the five best papers of RE’09 (from 121 submitted) and an invited REJ paper was subsequently published (also highly cited). At least one PhD (Pasquale, Politecnico di Milano) has been closely based on the work.
