<09> This paper’s key argument is that computational reflection is central to requirements engineering for self-adaptive systems. As a Lancaster/UCL collaboration, the paper brings together Lancaster’s expertise on reflective middleware (providing architectural support for self-adaptive systems) with the idea of reflective requirements posited by the UCL authors. The paper sets out a research agenda for handling the changing nature of requirements in self-adaptive systems. This agenda has been influential as evidenced by its high number of citations. The acceptance rate for this conference was 18%.
