Additional information

<06> Written in collaboration with the BBC, this is the capstone paper on the large-scale deployment of a novel IPTV service. The deployment uses a P2P protocol developed specifically for TV distribution, and was the world-first demonstration of end-to-end P2P streaming to low-cost hardware. Impact was very strong: it was featured at IBC2008, 09 and 11 ("International Broadcasting Convention" : "the" premier annual event for the broadcasting sector); and the technology was adopted by Wikipedia, and by the IETF as the basis for PPSP (Peer to Peer Streaming Protocol). It featured widely in the media (e.g. The NYT and the Economist).
