Partly on the basis of this study, Ginsborg will now research a wide range of existing educational and professional approaches to promoting musicians’ health. As PI for ‘Better Practice’, part of the major AHRC project, Musical Impact (2013–17), she will be investigating how these approaches can be adapted, applied and evaluated in different contexts in the UK and internationally, from the earliest years of study up to professional practice.
