Optimised configuration of sensors for fault tolerant control of an electro-magnetic suspension system
Proposed is a novel sensor selection framework for control and fault tolerance in safety-critical systems.
It makes important contributions to the complex problem of selecting sensor sets subject to system performance and reliability level, by integrating fault tolerance with advanced control and optimization. The International Federation of Automatic Control (SafeProcess Technical Committee, 2003, “Emerging Areas Project”) identified this as a key area. An innovative approach with potential for electro-mechanical applications.
