A good knowledge of fluid flow characteristics in cementitious materials is vital in numerical durability analysis. This work presents new experimental data and a new analytically derived expression for permeability using data derived from a variable pressure test on axisymmetric specimens. This innovative combined experimental and analytical study led in part to a funded project on the thermo-hygro-mechanical modelling of concrete (KTP7915).
