Additional information

<21> Originality: A novel approach using newly developed Computer Supported Cooperative Work tools as probes to assess complex interventions in a highly professionalized setting. We assessed the utility of service data repurposing in the training of radiologists.

Significance: We consider reused service data as learning material. This has the potential to create greatly improved training data. We show the task is difficult but possible. The techniques have potential for transfer to other professionalised settings.

Rigour: The work is recognised as insightful by professionals and is being used as the basis for a service innovation currently under evaluation in Scotland.
