Additional information

<06> Originality: This is the first work to present a distributed management solution, Stix, for broadband wireless access networks. Its unique features include simpler specification of network management tasks, scalability and support for heterogeneous devices. It is also the first platform that enables self-management in wireless networks.

Significance: With self-management becoming increasingly important for future networks (wired/wireless), Stix is expected to have a big impact as it offers a flexible framework and open-source implementation platform (available from: http://code.google.com/p/wimo-stix/) towards this end.

Rigour: Published at a top networking conference with 14% acceptance rate.
