Additional information

This paper presents original research upon the relationship between older people and their environment in both research and policy contexts. After reviewing the conceptual frameworks of place attachment and unfamiliarity it develops the relevance of these concepts through ethically sound 'reality cave' virtualisation experimentation using groups of people with pre-established place-familiarity.
