The research output is an exhibition curated by Bonehill and one of the research outputs of his visiting fellowship at the Yale Centre for British Art. Paul Sandby: Picturing Britain was a touring exhibition for Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery. It opened in Nottingham (July-October 2009), before travelling to the National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh (November 2009-February 2010) and the Royal Academy of Arts, London (March-June 2010).

The research aspects of the exhibition are evidenced by this portfolio of material:

1a/ a print catalogue – edited by Bonehill who also contributed entries for the 101 works in the exhibition written by the researcher and two of the six essays in the catalogue; and,

1b/ visual record of the exhibition at Nottingham.
