Caring Culture: Art, Architecture and the Politics of Public Health
Caring Culture examines changing political uses of the concept of care in neoliberal democracies and asks how artists, architects and designers contribute to its manifestations. The publication brings together case studies of artistic and design interventions within health and social care institutions, and political and philosophical essays and interviews related to civic well-being. Contributors include curators, artists, academics, politicians and healthcare professionals. The book, which is the first of the three-volume Actors, Agents and Attendants series initiated and edited by Phillips, follows an international symposium on art and care co-curated by Phillips for SKOR in 2010.
