Additional information

This paper was awarded this leading journal's prize for "Best Environmental Policy Paper of 2010" and was the basis of Allwood's successful bid to EPSRC for a 5-year GBP1.6M Leadership Fellowship (EPSRC grant ref. EP/G007217/1). After three years of this fellowship, building on the paper, in November 2011 a 'popular-science' book "Sustainable Materials: with both eyes open" was published by Allwood and Cullen. This is the world's first book on Material Efficiency. By July 2012 it has sold over 2,500 copies, and over 15,0000 chapters have been read online (for free) at www.withbotheyesopen.com.
