Additional information

The McRobie/Prendergast aeroelasticity work which includes incident turbulence within high-resolution discrete vortex models has already been adopted by leading bridge designers such as Dr Allan Larsen of COWI A/S, Denmark, who was responsible for the aeroelastic design of many of the world’s long span bridges, (including Storebaelt - the world’s third longest, with a clear span of 1624m) and is co-author of reference 43 which draws heavily on the McRobie/Prendergast work.

Dr Larsen (ID_in_audit_file@cowi.dk) is currently seeking to spend some months in Cambridge in early 2014 to work with McRobie, to further develop the work.
