Based on the material class of the DCV-substituted oligothiophenes that had been synthesised by Prof. Bäuerle, I suggested the particular series of alkyl-free oligothiophenes that were subsequently synthesised in his group. I planned the planar heterojunction devices and their measurement series together with HZ and CK and analysed/interpreted the data from solution/semi-empirical calculations (UUlm) and devices (IAPP&Heliatek).
