Additional information

The Later Stuart Church, 1660-1714 (ed.) was a product of Tapsell’s sense of a huge gap in the literature: there had been no significant book length account of the Restoration Church since John Spurr's monograph of 1991, and certainly nothing that offered a series of thematic accounts of the Church, including its ideological and geographical contexts, as well as rivalries with other churches. In addition to his own chapter on the clergy [submitted], he wrote a 7800 word introduction, offered editorial guidance to the other eight contributors on their chapters, standardised the presentation throughout the volume, and compiled the index.
