<22> With the massive growth of the WWW, research into automatically acquiring query modifications/suggestions has become increasingly more important. This paper emanated from the work for the EPSRC funded AutoAdapt (EP/F035357/1 and EP/F035705/1) project and is part of a body of work on exploiting query logs, document collections and user interactions in website/intranet search in order to improve query recommendations.
