Additional information

This essay is concerned both with the politics of Shakespeare Criticism and also with certain aspects of theatrical representation. This essay emanates from a small research group under the direction of Professor Jesus Cassellas at the University of Jaen, and has grown out of earlier published work on the figure of the ‘outsider’ in Shakespearean drama, drawing on the body of research that Drakakis has gathered and published over a period of years.
