The work reported was conducted as part of the Energy Technologies Institute PerAWaT project. Co-authors are from the Renewable Energy consultancy GL-Garrad Hassan. The research addresses the EPSRC challenge area of Renewable Energy from Wave and Tidal sources. Prior to publication the data and findings reported have been used by GL-Garrad Hassan for validation of commercial software for predicting energy yield from tidal farms. EdF R&D has also used the findings for validation of the open-source code Telemac for tidal farm simulations.
