Additional information

<22> This paper introduces modelling and solving multi-user resource scheduling problems in radio access networks using high-speed downlink packet access technology. It reports modelling the problem in mathematical programming form and solve it using a simulated annealing heuristic algorithm. This study let us initiate a new area of study merging heuristic optimisation, combinatorial problem solving and resource scheduling problem in RANs. The paper has significantly been welcomed by the research community, attracted many citations and lead to further collaborative research with external collaborators in resource management problems of radio access networks.
