Additional information

<15> Originality: This paper provides the first model and complexity results for specifying and reasoning about data currency (timeliness) in the absence of reliable timestamps.

Significance: Data currency is one of the central problems for data cleaning, and is one of the main challenges introduced by big data (velocity). This paper proposes a promising approach to tackling the problem.

Rigour: The paper presents a set of fundamental results for reasoning about data currency. It is the full version of a PODS 2011 paper, invited for publication in TODS, the premier database journal. It was rated as "groundbreaking" by PODS reviews.
