Additional information

An invited paper published in a high impact (IF=2.25), open access international journal, this submission stems from research undertaken in the prestigious EPSRC-Rolls Royce Strategic Partnership in Structural Metals. The research explores the application of the recently developed Wilshire equations to a high performance aerospace alloy and challenges long held traditional approaches to creep lifing. The success of the research has led to a collaboration with Cambridge University investigating fundamental creep mechanisms in nickel superalloys, an invited presentation at an international workshop (HTMTC meeting, Derby, September 2013) and a further invitation for a paper in an international journal.
