Additional information

This paper resulted from a one year research grant funded by DEFRA/EA under Estuaries Research Programme-Phase II. The paper describes a pioneering behavioural approach to simulate climate change impacts on estuary systems. The modelling framework presented here was developed into a software system (http://www.discoverysoftware.co.uk/estsim/EstSim.html) which is considered by DEFRA/EA as a useful tool for the future coastal planning and management purposes.
