This paper was the outcome of a PhD project and represents the first rigorous statistical assessment of impacts of climate change on beaches. Statistically significant changes were found in different seasons across a range of climate change scenarios. Statistically significant changes were linked largely to material changes in wave direction rather than wave height. This work built on developments made in EP/C002172/1. The work anticipated to continue soon through a PhD studentship funded by the Government of Mexico, (Contact Prof R Casarin, UNAM.)
