Additional information

This paper reported a new method for the measurement of mass transfer coefficient in a bubbling fluidized bed dryer. An advanced Electric Capacitance Tomography (ECT) imaging system has been used for the first time to derive new correlations of mass transfer coefficient. Such a correlation is of vital importance for improved fluidized bed dryer design and its widest application. Work was later extended and published as a book chapter entitled “Mass Transfer” (ISBN 978-953-307-215-9, INTECH, 2011). The online version of the chapter was accessed 4000 times within a year of publication (publisher's data).
