Additional information

Innovative studies which describe a method for routine quantitative analysis of cell proliferation in vitro by on line monitoring of the gas phase above cultures. The technique has been patented (PCT/EP2013/054025) and further developed through the EPSRC IMRC in Regenerative Medicine (EP/F/500491/1). This work formed part of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (EP/F/500491/1) held jointly by Keele, Loughborough and Nottingham. T.C awarded Young Investigator Award ESACT 2011. Further work involves design of sensing systems which are compatible with TCP for routine assessment of cell cultures and scale up as part of the MRC UKRMP Niche Hub (2013-2015).
