Additional information

<06> The novelty of this is paper resides in the deployment and the study of channel allocation and management behaviours in IEEE 802.11N standard by using different real network testbed scenarios. During these real experiments, a range of networking metrics affecting real-time application performance is rigorously examined. Based on the experimental findings a new MAC layer protocol to automatically adjust the power management and quality of service was designed. The new protocol constitutes the basis to improve the IEEE 802.11ac standard which is currently under specification by IEEE.
