Additional information

This invited, special issue paper presented a method for analysing the thermodynamic performance of dual fuel engines. This technique was used on a number of projects with Hardstaff who produce heavy duty dual fuel truck engine conversions. This was part of the work which contributed to Loughborough University and Hardstaff winning the 2010 Lord Stafford award for Innovation and Sustainability. This work contributed towards a successful EPSRC grant application to experimentally study dual fuel engines Grant No. EP/H050388/1. (Grant value £147,000)
