<28>This paper developed from research supported by a PhD studentship and was aligned with the EPSRC-funded SMART2 project (EP/F001916), contributing to the underpinning research within systems development (WP3) for the creation of a Personalised Self-Management System. The paper was an invited submission to a Special Issue related to Human Activity Monitoring Systems and Methods. The work has contributed to obtaining funding from InvestNI for a new research project “Self-Management in Connected Health” (May 2013 – August 2016; full cost £1.2M).
