Calibrations of a high-suction tensiometer
This work, undertaken in collaboration with Controls Testing [http://www.controlstesting.co.uk/], redefined state-of-the-art experimental techniques to calibrate high-suction tensiometers [DOI:10.1139/cgj-2012-0393; 10.1144/1470-9236/09-010; 10.1680/geot.2011.61.4.303; 10.1139/T10-062; 10.1016/j.enggeo.2012.04.013]. It is of particular interest to the industry that develops this technology [http://www.decagon.com/products/sensors/water-potential-sensors/tensiometers/; http://www.delta-t.co.uk/product-display.asp?id=SWT-4%20Product&div=Soil%20Science]. This contribution is important as tensiometers are widely used in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering [http://www.geo-observations.com/Equipment/index.html].
