The Problems of Literary Translation: A Study of the Theory and Practice of Translation from English into Spanish
This book is a very substantial corpus of translated works. It analyses in depth and sheds new light on a range of highly complex key issues in literary translation (the controversial concept of equivalence; limits of translatability; writer as translator and translator as writer). The bibliography containing 299 entries in total, covers sources in translation studies, literary criticism, linguistics, sociolinguistics, dialectology, including 167 books and 57 articles. The corpus was composed of 20 major literary works and 55 translations. Some translations were only available for consultation at the Biblioteca Nacional, Madrid.
