Additional information

This paper was an output of a University Strategic Alliance funded by BAE Systems/SelexES (Iain Scott, email available). The paper proposed a detection scheme that is robust to variations in the interference (clutter) that plague practical Space Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) radar systems. Detailed mathematical analysis, computer simulation and testing on measured data confirmed the potential of the detection scheme. This research lead to the award of a DSTL-Industry funded project form the Electromagnetic and Remote Sensing-Defence Technology Centre (EMRS/DTC/7/167, £175k) to further develop and test the concept.
