This work is relevant to geoenvironmental problems considering both advection and dispersion in contaminated strata and engineered barriers. The range of boundary conditions considered allows wide application of this work and the approach also avoids numerical stability issues often encountered when solving this class of problem via numerical approximation. The research has been presented by Dr.Cleall at invited lectures at Ecole Polytechnic Federal (EPFL), Lausanne, 2011; Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH), Zürich, 2012.
