Additional information

<16>The IEEE ICDE conference series is one of the top three in the world on databases and data engineering, highly regarded in the field. The paper was the first to use a DOM tree representation, semantic similarity and a generic set of grammar rules of SQL query conditions to extract query interfaces to web databases. This overcomes the weaknesses of prior approaches, including use of string representations, lack of semantic awareness and use of domain-specific grammar rules. This presents a significant technical advance on deep Web crawling that Google has recently been focusing on.
